“God created the Grand Canyon, but he lives in Sedona.”
Apparently, that is an old saying… can’t wait to see what it’s all about! T-minus 2 days until Daniel and I leave for our first vacation sans-kiddos (and giant dog) in a LONG time. We’re headed to Phoenix & Sedona! I don’t care that our tickets are probably the worst seats on the plane, that we have to fly 699.1 miles East in order to go 1845.7 miles West or that he is going to ditch me on Sunday to play in a golf tournament.
Seven, count them, seven days with no responsibility for anyone else. I’m so excited I feel like a man flipping the TV channels, it’s almost too hard to commit to plans as I don’t want to miss out on any one thing. There’s hiking, jeep tours, horseback riding, fun food, sites and Spas out the wazoo.
I’m a bit of a packing nerd. I love to make a packing list, I write out everything that I could possibly need on a sheet of notebook paper and as the item is tossed in the bag, I put a nice big check mark next to it. I am a list maker, I love putting things on a list because it means I get to check them off and feel like I’ve accomplished something.
I’ll be updating the blog with our adventures and stories. If you’ve been, feel free to leave comments on places to go and things to do!
So sorry the old San Carlos is worse than I heard. Have been to the arrogant butcher, had forgotten about it. Hope some of my suggestions are helpful. Would love to be back there to be your tour guide. Have a wonderful time and togetherness.
Is what it is… I’ll know for next time. Honestly, the room is just a room I’ve been so busy I haven’t spent that much time in the room anyway!
